FROM THE RECTOR
This Sunday is the last Sunday of our Summer schedule. Next Sunday, September 12th, we will return to our regular schedule with Holy Eucharist at 8:00 am and 10:15 am with the full choir. Sunday School starts next week with the Blessing of the Backpacks.
This fall we'll be trying something different with Adult Education. The "Rector's Forum" will now be known as the "Adult Forum" and will meet from 9:15 am - 10:00 am on Sunday morning downstairs in one of our classrooms. This will launch on September 19th, please see information below.
In addition, let me also offer a word of encouragement and thanks to all of you who graciously donated to the Warden's Appeal. You may know that at the close of the appeal we were $3,000 short. But because of your generosity and faithfulness, that shortfall has been filled by additional pledges to the Appeal totaling $24,000. This is most encouraging and a sign of the Lord's provision and the faith of His people.
Finally to the men of the parish, please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend the Men's Conference in two weeks. So far I have only one person (well two if you include me) signed up to attend. We can do better! Talk to me if you have any questions or interest.
See you Sunday!
