 FROM THE RECTOR

It was great to see everyone in church last Sunday. We missed everyone and it is great to be back!

This past Tuesday, Trinity continued the tradition of a summer outing to the Lakewood Blue Claws.  We had about forty people turn out for the fun, fellowship and a great time.

In the past couple of years, I have been trying to enhance Christian education for our youth and adults. These programs have been successful and well attended.  It is my intent to continue having these programs available and with that, more variety in the programs.

Because of this,  I have asked Ann Van Zyl to be the Director of Adult Education and she has graciously accepted.  Ann will assist me with the education offerings for our adult and young adult members. We will be begin working together immediately on our new Wednesday Night series that will begin in September.  Look for more information in the weeks ahead.

However, as we gear up for the fall program season, please take some time to consider what might interest you in terms of education, ministries and outreach.  In addition, consider what the Lord might be calling you to do, lead, or participate in this fall.

Finally let me thank all of you who contributed to the Warden's Appeal.  The final number is not yet in, but Warden Tony Fusco has assured me that the appeal raised right around $20,000 of the $24,000 needed to cover our shortfall in 2010.  Many of you stepped up to fill the need. Our ministry can only continue unhindered by your continued giving back to the Lord "from whom all good things come."   Please look for an update from the Wardens in the very near future.

Onward and upward!
